A frozen night in spring (ich ruf´ zu dir)

It was meant to be a conversation. They would meet and converse, they would come together and, perhaps, find a meaning. They would finally silence the damning mares that so desperately kept them apart. Redemption was thought possible, it was gullibly foreseen in that run down tenement, of all places. But, as the hours wore on, it became apparent that dawn would never be and night, the misleading temptation of evil, would finally anchor their tormented souls.
